Robert Gross

As a Principal with JM Search, Rob leads cross-functional and mission-critical executive search engagements for growth-stage, middle-market, private and investor-backed businesses. With a project portfolio across a broad range of industries, from consumer technology to manufacturing and distribution, Rob’s sector experience and functional depth are a substantial asset to investors, their portfolio companies, and the JM Search team. Rob’s passion for client success is notable, and drawn from his impressive body of work having completed nearly 100 retained executive search engagements for top tier investors and client companies. In each case, Rob, ensures that clients and candidates receive unrivaled results and communication.

Prior to JM, Rob led retained executive search engagements for another boutique firm headquartered out of Southern California. He’s been in the search industry for seven years, and utilizes his prior experiences in sales & project management in leading his practice. Rob graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in History and Political Science.

On a personal note, Rob is originally from Michigan, and values his midwestern heritage/laid-back nature. Currently living in Redondo Beach, CA, Rob recently became a proud dad of a beautiful daughter and considers himself the biggest cheerleader of his wife – a UCLA/Stanford trained pediatrician. Additionally, Rob prides himself on his golf game, is quite competitive in nature, and also enjoys pretty much any outdoor activity.
