Matt Duncan

Matt Duncan is a Principal with JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Consumer & Retail Practice. Matt specializes in placing executives and board members in the consumer-packaged goods, food & beverage, and retail industries.  He brings over 25 years of human resource and business leadership experience to JM Search. Matt’s experience leading the human resources and administrative functions of both public and private companies allows him to relate to C-suite executives and board members looking to elevate talent in their organizations.

Matt joined JM Search after establishing and leading Duncan Business Advisors (DBA), a boutique executive coaching and human resource advisory firm.  Before establishing DBA, Matt served as Chief Administrative Officer of Zep, Inc., Chief Human Resource Officer of Neenah Inc., and Senior-level roles at blue-chip companies like The Coca-Cola Company, The Home Depot, and Nestle. Matt is known for his expertise in mergers & acquisitions, executive coaching, and all areas of human capital management, including talent management, organizational effectiveness, labor relations, and executive compensation.  Matt’s extensive network in retail, CPG, supply chain, industrial manufacturing, and corporate functions is an excellent source of talent.

Matt graduated from Auburn University with a B.S.B.A. in Human Resource Management.  Outside of his professional endeavors, Matt finds relaxation and joy in boating and is an avid sports fan, often attending sporting events. Matt, his wife, and two children live in Miramar Beach, FL.
