John Foristall

John Foristall is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Consumer Practice where he leads their Chief Financial Officer search work. John has more than 20 years of operating experience as a CFO and finance leader in the consumer space and over 2 years in executive search. John’s operating experience spans subsidiaries of companies such as Nike, IAC/Interactive Corp and Walmart. Leveraging his own foundation in finance and vast network, John’s search expertise is focused on Finance and Accounting roles across both publicly traded and private equity-backed companies.

Prior to JM Search, John was a Partner at True Search in the firm’s Consumer Practice, specializing in Chief Financial Officer searches. At True, John brought a very collaborative and hands on approach to placing numerous C-suite roles within leading consumer brands. Prior to True, John was the CFO and later President at Shoes.com (formerly an IAC, then a Walmart company), Divisional CFO at Nike, and the Global FP&A Lead at Bauer Hockey (formerly a Nike company). John is a CPA and began his career at Arthur Andersen.

John is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. He resides in Boston with his family. Outside of the office, you will find him at dance competitions with his two daughters, at the hockey rink with his son, or hiding from the kids around the firepit with his wife.
