Dudley Morton

Dudley Morton is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Legal Search Practice. He focuses on recruiting attorneys across a variety of industries for private equity, venture capital, private, and public companies. He has over 10 years of recruiting experience, with the last 6 years focused on in-house counsel roles. He is responsible for end-to-end search execution and client development. His primary focus is on Chief Legal Officers, General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officers, other senior in-house legal roles, and their direct reports. ​

Prior to JM Search, Dudley spent 6 years as a Managing Director in the In-House Counsel Recruiting Group at Major Lindsey & Africa. As a Managing Director, he was responsible for business development, search execution, client and candidate management, and offer negotiation. Dudley served clients in public, private, and private equity-backed companies across a range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, energy, healthcare, consumer products, and data centers.​

Dudley earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado-Boulder and his JD from the University of Denver. He currently resides in Denver; he is married with two kids. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with friends and family, travel, golf, great food and wine, college and professional football, and watching live music.
