Blakely brings over 30 years of experience advising clients in the financial services and asset management sectors. He has built a strong reputation for his deep understanding of the Private Equity space and his ability to secure strategic and capital opportunities that fuel business growth. Blakely’s skill in partnering with business owners and entrepreneurs has enabled him to help companies of all sizes achieve their goals.

Before joining JM Search, Blakely founded Spouting Rock, where he focused on helping businesses grow within the Private Equity sector. His leadership and insights were pivotal in delivering value to clients across various industries. Earlier in his career, Blakely worked on the sell side at Morgan Stanley, and held client facing senior executive roles at Thomas Weisel Partners, Susquehanna International, and Bank of America.

Blakely is known for his collaborative approach and strong business acumen, successfully guiding clients through complex financial landscapes and ensuring they have the resources needed for sustained growth. His extensive industry knowledge and ability to navigate diverse challenges make him a sought-after advisor.

He resides in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and enjoys spending time with his three children. Outside of work, Blakely is passionate about traveling, watching his children’s sports, experimenting in the kitchen, and playing golf. He holds a B.A. in International Studies from Southern Methodist University.
