David Speicher has 20 years of experience advising financial services, financial technology and SaaS companies on identifying, attracting, and retaining senior-level talent. He is a Principal at JM Search, where he focuses on executing C-level and VP-level searches. He is passionate not only about the value human capital delivers to investors, but also to the critical importance of assessing fit for culture.
Prior to joining JM Search, David was Co-Founder and Managing Partner at a retained search firm specializing in searches across traditional and alternative asset classes in the investment management industry. He was previously responsible for national recruiting and talent management for Hirtle, Callaghan & Co., an asset management firm with over $15 billion under advisement. He also participated in numerous firm-wide business and growth strategy initiatives for the firm. Earlier, he worked for a national retained executive search firm on searches in healthcare, financial services and non-profit organizations. David also served in the United States Navy in various capacities in naval aviation and cryptology.
David has three children and lives in Devon, PA. Outside of the office, he enjoys surfing, wine, cooking, mountain biking, and skiing. He received a BA in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina.
