Kenny Burgess

Kenny Burgess is a Principal at JM Search and a member of the firm’s Distribution and Services Practice. He helps private equity firms and their portfolio companies build senior leadership teams. Kenny specializes in the recruitment of private equity–backed executives across multiple industries and functions, with primary expertise in the business/industrial services and distribution sectors. He is also a member of JM Search’s Commercial Go-To-Market Center of Excellence, focused on the recruitment of commercial leaders across sales and marketing functions.

Prior to joining JM Search, Kenny was a Senior Consultant at Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 250 financial services company specializing in wealth management and investment product distribution. While at Lincoln, Kenny partnered with more than 150 financial planners and their support staff to implement market-leading technology enhancements and tailored practice management strategies designed to increase advisor productivity, practice efficiency, and client satisfaction. Before his role as Senior Consultant, Kenny held wholesale positions within Lincoln’s distribution subsidiary and played a leadership role in driving sales of Lincoln-branded investment products.

Kenny earned his B.A. in Journalism, with a minor in Communications, from Lehigh University, where he was a varsity participant on the Cross Country and Track teams. He lives in State College, PA, with his wife, son, and daughter. In his free time, Kenny enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and exercising, and attending sporting events and concerts.
