Max Stubenvoll

Max is a Partner in the Distribution and Services Practice at JM Search. He is involved in search projects for Board Members, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and senior leaders of private equity-backed businesses. His wide range of expertise spans executive search, pre-deal advisory and strategy consulting across multiple relevant sectors and industries.

Before joining JM Search, Max was a Principal in the Consumer, Industrial & Businesses Services Practices at Acertitude. There, he partnered with private equity-backed and public businesses to help them build out their executive management teams (CEO, CFO, COO etc.) and board composition. Prior to this, Max helped a range of private equity investors with pre-deal advisory and search assignments as a Senior Associate in the Consumer & Business Services team at Skillcapital. Previously, Max was a member of the Deals Strategy Team at PwC, undertaking both buy and sell-side due diligence for private equity clients predominantly in the Consumer and TMT verticals. Earlier in his career, Max worked as head of sales at a FinTech start up.

Max holds a BSc, Chemistry & Management from Imperial College London. He lives in Austin, though the likelihood of finding him here in his free time is improbable. He’s constantly adding new cities and countries (62 and counting), to the interesting places he’s visited and picking up hobbies like becoming an advanced PADI-certified scuba diver or an investor in fine wine. Eager to stay active, Max can also be found cycling, playing tennis, golf and soccer.
