Michael Banks

Michael Banks is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Financial Officers Practice. He specializes in executive search engagements for early-stage, middle-market, and high-growth private and public companies, as well as private equity-backed companies and their portfolio businesses. Michael brings two decades of expertise in leadership assessment and recruitment of all senior level positions within the financial function, including Chief Financial Officers, Treasurers, Corporate Controllers/Chief Accounting Officers, FP&A leaders, Chief Audit Executives, division-level executives and senior level tax professionals.

Prior to JM Search, Michael served as Practice Leader of Finance and Accounting, North America for Korn Ferry. Michael’s clients have included Fortune 500, mid-size, and small public and private companies in industries such as: industrial/manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, life sciences/biotech, financial services, retail, consulting, media/entertainment, and distribution.

Michael holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York. He and his family reside in Cortlandt Manor, NY. During his downtime, Michael enjoys travelling, golf, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
