Michael Banks

Michael Banks is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the firm’s CFO and Financial Officers Practice. He specializes in executive search engagements for early-stage, middle-market, and high-growth private and public companies, as well as private equity-backed companies and their portfolio businesses. Michael brings two decades of expertise in leadership assessment and recruiting senior-level finance executives, including Chief Financial Officers, Treasurers, Corporate Controllers/Chief Accounting Officers, FP&A leaders, Chief Audit Executives, divisional finance leaders, and senior tax professionals.

Most recently, Michael served as Practice Leader of Finance and Accounting, North America, at Korn Ferry. His clients have included Fortune 500, mid-sized, and smaller public and private companies across industries such as industrial/manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, life sciences/biotech, financial services, retail, consulting, media and entertainment, and distribution.

Michael holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. He and his family reside in Cortlandt Manor, New York. In his downtime, Michael enjoys traveling, playing golf, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
