Sanjay Sama

Sanjay Sama is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the firm’s Technology Practice. He specializes in recruiting senior executives for high-growth, private equity–backed and public technology companies across fintech, SaaS, cybersecurity, and technology-enabled services. With more than two decades of leadership experience in technology-driven consulting and go-to-market strategy, Sanjay brings a unique perspective to executive search, combining firsthand industry expertise with a passion for helping organizations identify and retain transformative leaders.

Prior to joining JM Search, Sanjay held leadership roles at Capgemini and Genpact, advising CIOs and CFOs on large-scale operational transformations that integrated technology, process, and talent. Earlier in his career, at FIS, he helped both established and emerging banks expand into fintech, and at First Union/Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo), he underwrote sovereign risk across global markets.

Sanjay earned his MBA from Virginia Tech and his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Bombay. He is Six Sigma–trained. Outside of work, he enjoys racket sports, hiking, and live music, and lives on Philadelphia’s Main Line with his wife and two children.
