Shane McMahon

Shane McMahon is a Partner at JM Search and a key member of the firm’s Go-To-Market & Commercial Leaders team. He partners with public and private boards to recruit senior executives who drive growth and scale organizations, bringing an operator’s perspective and strong pattern recognition to his search work.

Prior to joining JM Search, Shane was a Partner at Onstott Group and True Search. He began his career in finance at Barclays Bank and later Gulf Oil before transitioning into operating roles within high-growth organizations. As a member of the Strategic Business Development team at CarGurus in Cambridge, MA, Shane experienced firsthand the challenges and opportunities of scaling a business through multiple stages of growth, culminating in a successful IPO. These experiences continue to inform how he assesses leadership talent and advises clients.

Shane graduated from Hamilton College with a degree in Economics, where he was also a member of the Men’s Lacrosse team. He holds an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Outside of work, Shane enjoys staying active through competitive sports, though he and his wife now spend most of their free time keeping up with their toddler son and infant daughter.
