The addition of Sama further bolsters the firm’s expertise in Fintech, and placing go-to-market executives across the technology sector
King of Prussia, Pennsylvania – JM Search, a premier retained executive search firm, today announces the hiring of Sanjay Sama as a Partner in the Technology Practice. He brings expertise in both identifying and capitalizing on new growth opportunities and developing the requisite infrastructure and leadership teams to exploit on those opportunities.
For over three decades, private equity investors have relied on JM Search to identify, evaluate, and attract executives for their portfolio companies. The hiring of Sama further supports JM Search’s strategic focus on building depth and breadth in expertise across the technology industry. In 2022 alone, nearly 70% of JM Search’s placements have been for private equity-backed portfolio companies.
Prior to joining JM Search, Sama was with Kingsley Gate Partners, a retained executive search firm where he leveraged his deep industry experience in technology services to place senior executives in Fintech, SaaS/Cloud, and Cybersecurity firms. Before his successful transition to executive search, Sama spent over a decade leading go-to-market efforts for technology-enabled service providers, Capgemini, and Genpact. His primary focus was leading go-to-market teams to focus on crafting complex, multi-year agendas with large and mid-sized company CXO’s to transform their operations using a combination of people, process, and technology. His prior roles included working closely with leading banks to implement their initial foray into Fintech; his initial career included sovereign risk underwriting for First Union’s Asia risk exposure and roles in commercial banking.

Sama earned his MBA with high honors from the Pamplin School of Business at Virginia Tech, as well as a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Bombay.
