Managing Partner
MaryJeanne Scott is a Managing Partner at JM Search and Practice Leader for the Firm’s Consumer Practice. MaryJeanne works closely with clients to assemble teams across the C-Suite and their direct reports. Her practice specializes in private equity-backed clients but also includes both privately and publicly held companies across consumer products, retail, consumer digital and hospitality. MJ has extensive experience recruiting within the functional disciplines of marketing, merchandising, finance, sales, product development, e-commerce and global supply chain operations with a focus on CEO and Board roles.
MJ understands that a best-in-class search process is about high-performance leaders who have achieved undeniable success and possess the core values that her clients’ cultures are built upon. Her unique ability to seek individuals whose values innately align with her clients has set her apart in the industry.
MJ joined JM Search as a Partner in 2019 to lead the launching of a formal Consumer Practice on a national scale. She joined JM Search from the search firm she founded in 2003, MJ Scott Search Partners. She started her search career with the Kenzer Corporation, where she led its Chicago and Minneapolis offices.
MJ is a native New Yorker and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for Fashion Merchandising and Business. While not serving her clients, MJ loves to travel and spend time with family and friends. She is passionate about alternative medicine and wellness and loves cooking, entertaining, and of course retail therapy.
