Grantham University is proud to announce the appointment of David Eby to the role of chief marketing officer. A seasoned marketing executive with more than 20 years of experience in the higher education arena, Mr. Eby is distinguished by his innovative, insightful approach to advancing the success of educational institutions in areas ranging from marketing and operations to enrollment and student services. His begins his position at Grantham University on June 14, 2017.
“As a prominent member of Grantham’s leadership team, David’s expertise will be a vital, driving force behind the university’s growth on a global scale,” said Scott Andrews, Grantham University president and chief executive officer. “Through a strategic, highly collaborative partnership at the executive level, I am confident Grantham will secure its stature as a leading online provider within the higher education landscape. David’s guidance will be of great significance as the university forges ahead to effectuate such success.”
Mr. Eby has served in leadership roles at a number of institutions, including the Apollo Education Group, Westwood Online (Alta College’s online division), Anthem College Online and Jones International University. Most notably, as chief marketing officer at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), he led the expansion of SNHU’s online division to more than 60,000 students, making it the fastest-growing non-profit university in the country. Most recently, David has served in several capacities at Bertelsmann Education Group, including chief academic success officer for HotChalk, president of Arist Learning Solutions, and chief marketing officer for Arist Education System.

Mr. Eby joins Grantham at an exciting juncture in the 100 percent online university’s 66-year history of academic service. In the past 16 years, the university has grown to nearly 20,000 students and has conferred more than 19,000 degrees.
