Localytics Announces New CEO to Drive Next Level of Growth

Raj Aggarwal, co-founder and current CEO of leading mobile engagement platform Localytics, today announced that Jude McColgan will become CEO to lead the company’s next phase of growth. The announcement was made as Localytics achieves the major milestone of being cash flow positive.

“Since our founding eight years ago, Localytics has become the leading mobile engagement platform for enterprises,” said Aggarwal. “As we continued to grow rapidly and achieved cash flow break-even, I felt the time was right to bring aboard an experienced leader of Jude’s caliber to amplify our efforts and take Localytics to the next stage of growth.”

McColgan brings nearly 20 years of experience in the enterprise software space and a strong focus on the mobile industry based on his leadership roles at Oracle, TomTom, Nuance Communications and Avast Software. McColgan has worked with some of the largest global handset, Internet content and mobile network operators in the industry. He comes to Localytics from Avast Software, where he served as the President of Mobile. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager at Nuance Communications, where he led the Mobile Division, as well as Group Vice President for Mobile at TomTom. Prior to that, he spent nearly 10 years at Oracle focused on enterprise software.

“I am excited and honored to take on this role and build on Raj and the team’s work over the years,” said McColgan. “Localytics has carved out a strong leadership position with a great technology platform to help customers solve their biggest challenges — engaging with their mobile customers. I know, I was a customer. I look forward to helping the company further innovate its mobile engagement platform and continue supporting customers’ mobile marketing strategies.”

Today, Localytics is used by the world’s leading apps to drive mobile engagement. The company continues to grow existing relationships with brands such as CVS, Weather Channel, Comcast, Avis and Hulu, while recently adding new customers including Staples, HSN, TJX, Lifetime Fitness and Telenor. Localytics drives mobile engagement for more than 37,000 apps covering over 2.7 billion devices.

Continually innovating, the company recently unveiled a number of new products and capabilities, including a major update to its True Impact campaign reporting tool, the launch of Direct Access and new features to give marketers easier access to cross-channel customer data. Localytics also recently acquired Tapglue, a Berlin-based API service to drive mobile engagement through social features.

“Localytics exists because we believe that integrated data and engagement are key to delivering differentiated and impactful digital experiences.” Aggarwal said. “I look forward to remaining actively involved in the company and working alongside Jude and the team to drive growth and market leadership while fulfilling our mission.”
