Louis Montgomery Jr.

Louis Montgomery Jr. is a Partner at JM Search and a member of the Firm’s Human Resources and Diversity Officer Practice. He helps organizations add diversity to their senior ranks. Through his decade of executive search experience, he has successfully placed human resource and diversity/ inclusion leaders, board members, financial officers, in commercial organizations, national non-profits, higher education, trade associations, for a variety of sectors including industrial, consumer, healthcare/ life sciences, financial/ professional services and technology.​

Prior to moving into executive search, Louis had more than 25 years of experience as a Human Resources Practitioner and Diversity Leader with several major Fortune 100 firms including, IBM, Celanese Corporation, Frito Lay, Kraft Foods, Altria, AES and Serco North America.   ​

Louis is an Author, Thought Leader and Hogan Assessments Certified Executive Coach.  He has been quoted in numerous publications including The New York Times, Washington Post, Human Resources Executive, Black Enterprise, and American Banker. ​

Louis earned a B.S. degree in Industrial and Labor Relations (ILR) from Cornell University. While there he was a varsity letter winner in football and track. He achieved all Conference and All East Honors in Track. He is member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations  Advisory Council, ILR Alumni Association Board of Directors, Board of Directors of C2HR Connect, Board of Directors of Y of Central Maryland, and Diversity Council of the Association of Executive Search Consultants. He is an avid golfer and No Limit Texas Hold ‘em player. He, his wife and two sons live in Howard County, Maryland.
