Fred was AlixPartners CEO from 2008 – 2016 and is now Senior Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors. Fred is an internationally recognized strategist and operations restructuring specialist who has been involved in many of AlixPartners’ most-high-profile situations. He is the architect, board sponsor, and senior mentor of AlixPartners’ global leadership program. Prior to joining the firm, he held senior positions at other major consulting firms and worked in operations and brand management in industry. He is coauthor of “The Myth of Excellence,” a BusinessWeek and New York Times best seller that details his research on consumer motivation and corporate strategic response. Frequently involved with the media, he is a sought-after presenter, and publishes a regular column on ChiefExecutive.net. A regular guest lecturer at top universities, Fred has an MBA from the Kelly School at Indiana University. He is on the Board of College Spring, a national organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for under-served students.
